This paper mainly probes into the music rhythm’s influence on children’s Latin dance teaching, in which the research methods such as the literature material law, questionnaire method, experimental method and statistics method are adopted to analyze the related contents. In the research process, 62 students are randomly divided into two classes, namely, an experimental class and a comparative class. Prior to the experiment, a survey is made towards the students’ basic information such as age, height, weight, fitness, reaction time towards music rhythm and the cognition on Latin dance. By doing this, it aims to analyze that whether students differ in the above information and if they conform to the experimental conditions, which would eventually guarantee the experiment’s effectiveness. A sixteen-week teaching experiment is conducted in the two classes, the teaching contents are divided into three modules: cha-cha’s basic steps, cha-cha bronze medal and cha-cha silver medal. Conventional teaching methods are adopted in the comparative class, apart from that, the experimental class also adopts the teaching methods on the improvement of music rhythm. In the experimentation process, students in the two classes are tested and the questionnaires are given to them. Through the statistics method, the statistical analysis is conducted towards the experimental data. In the same group and between different groups, variance analysis and paired T test are conducted towards the test result. After that, comparative analysis is conducted on the questionnaires by means of the descriptive statistics. In the end, it is proved that music rhythm does have effects on Latin dance teaching. The conclusions are as follows:1. Prior to the experiment, regarding the investigation on the students’ basic information such as age, height, weight, fitness, reaction time towards music rhythm and the cognition on Latin dance, the experimental result shows that there’s no significant difference between the two classes.2.The power quality of the two classes after test results, the experimental class has significantly improved, experimental classes than that in comparative classes to improve the quality of power.3.Experiment after two classes of flexible quality test results, the experimental class has significantly increased, to improve the quality of experimental classes than that in comparative classes flexible fast.4. Students in the experimental class are much better than those in the comparative class, when it comes to the music rhythm of Latin dance. Specifically speaking, the former obviously has a shorter reaction time in contrast to the latter.5. According to the test result in the two classes, the experimental class has a faster improvement than the comparative class. Though the comparative class has little improvement, it does show the tendency to progress.6. Students in the experimental class have a greater improvement than those in the comparative class, in terms of the learning interest and attitude towards Latin dance as well as music’s importance for Latin dance.
