Independent learning generally refers to an individual consciously identify learning objectives, develop a learning plan, select learning methods, monitoring the learning process, the results of the evaluation process or the ability to learn. How to cultivate good habits of mathematics’ self-learning is an important part of mathematics teaching and research, compulsory mathematics curriculum standards for students training objectives proposed to develop students ability to identify problems and raise questions, analyze problems and problem-solving skills.First, the study of mathematical research independent learning habits at home and abroad as an overview, and then students and mathematics teaching and Kunming Chenggong Yucai Middle School as the research object, through the student questionnaire, teachers and students interviews to understand the current status of students’ mathematics independent study habits. Through classroom observation and questionnaire analysis to compare the influence of different methods’ teaching mathematics and self-learning ability, accordingly get some pedagogical implications and suggestions for improvement.Basing on this study, we can get these concludes: first, the two schools of self-learning ability of students is on the middle level; second, girls prep habits and homework habits better performance than boys, study habits in the classroom, review habits and self-learning ability levels of boys and girls was no significant difference;third, Chenggong Yucai school students in the habit of reviewing completed work habits and performance is relatively good terms, and in rehearsal habits and classroom learning habits of performance is to be improved; fourth, Kunming tenth prep school students in mathematics classroom habits and both performed better study habits, but most students do not have to develop good habits and complete review of customary operations; fifth, self-learning ability of students with mathematics learning habits were dominant positive correlation, that means students’ mathematics learning habits more better, it is good for their self-learning ability up.I hope this study of junior high school mathematics training independent study habits can play a valuable role, causing more concern or join the ranks of classroom teachers to education and scientific research in education and scientific research.Meanwhile, we hope in mathematics teaching, teachers should pay more attention to the cultivation of students’ independent learning habits, so that students can learn to be the transition from school to improve learning efficiency, reduce the burden of learning.
