Study On The Medical Social Work Volunteer Service Mode

With the rapid development of the economy and society, the domestic medicine also go into the transformation of biological- psychology- social medical model gradually, so the medical social work has become an essential part of the medical system. The medical social work of some developed countries has already mastered the mature experience and methods, and has also formed a medical social work system which is matching with the local medical system. However, China is still in conditions that need the innovation and reform, and we need to learn the advanced theories and patterns from the international medical social work and combine with the domestic situations to explore a work system which can be suitable for long-term development.This article introduced the basic information, the development history of the medical social work and the relationship between medical social work and volunteer service. Besides, the article will used the R hospital in B city as an example to introduce the model of hospital volunteer service. The management system of volunteers includes the recruitment, training, supervision, evaluation and incentive mechanism of volunteers. Besides, the article also introduced the classic project of medical volunteer and summarized the existing problems and suggestions. The problems mainly include the lack of laws, regulations, awareness, talents and the unbalance of theory and practice. In order to solve these problems, it’s essential to balancing the theory and practice, gathering experience, enhancing understanding, strengthening social recognition, promoting the implementation of related policies and establishing the personnel training system.So to explore a model which is guided with the professional social work and regards medical volunteers as the main service subjects is beneficial. In practical terms, we can recruit medical volunteers widely from the society and cultivate them to carry out targeted volunteer service, set up professional medical volunteer service mode of social work, encourage volunteers provide service for more patients and this may also a method to explore a new medical social work development road.
