Educational fairness is a dream of china, a dream of Chinese, and even a hope for millions of peasants. Education has different kinds and levels. Due to the particularity of students’ age, the compulsory education, which is just one part of education appears exceptionally important, especially in rural areas. There’s only formal primary and secondary schools in the countryside, so rural parents pay more attention on compulsory education. China is a large agricultural country,and also the central region has six big agriculture provinces and a great of rural population. Therefore, the rural compulsory education in central China is playing a basal and holistic part on building moderately prosperous society and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Considering that China is a vast territory, there will be different situations in compulsory education.And so we cannot equate central region with the Eastern or the Western. If we want to promote the equitable development of rural compulsory education in central China, we need to do an on-the-spot investigation, and put forward effective measure practically to eliminate unfairness.Based on the theory of Marxist educational fairness, the thesis synthetically discusses the relevant theories at all times and in all countries as well. By investigating on Dangyang city, the thesis analyzes and arranges unfair problems of rural compulsory education in central China, and it also presents some countermeasures for realizing the dream of educational fairness. This paper is divided into five sections. The first section is introduction, it expounds nine aspects, including the background and the significance of the subject, domestic and international research reviews, research idea, research method, innovations, the possible difficulties and the corresponding solutions, and the expected target. The second section is arranged to establish the theoretical system for the thesis. The thought of educational fairness in ancient China, the theory of educational fairness in Western countries, Marx and Engels’ thought of educational fairness are discussed in this paper. The third section combines the personal findings with the official information, analyzes the unfairness of the rural compulsory education in central China. Meanwhile, it explores and analyses the reason of unfairness. The fourth section is advice. The last section is conclusion. It reaffirms that realizing the fairness of Chinese central region’s rural compulsory education has great significance for our country and people.In short, once rural compulsory education in central China takes one small step towards fairness, China will take a big step towards educational equality, and then National education will continue to prosper.
