21st century is the era of knowledge economy, with the rapid development of the knowledge economy era, making basic education face unprecedented challenges. Particularly in recent years, many countries have started from the basic education curriculum reform and have constantly strengthened it to train more high quality talents to adapt to international competitions and to deal with an increasingly competitive international community. And it is in this background, China carried out a new round of curriculum reform. The core of the new curriculum reform is to cultivate students’ creativity and innovation spirit and to develop the students’ ability to analyze and solve practical problems. So the paper is exactly under the guidance of this curriculum reform, for a series of questions existing in traditional teaching and today’s middle school history teaching process,and the writer carried out a lot of thought and researches from many aspects, basing on lots of material and combined with his/her own teaching practice and experience.First, the writer starts from the background of middle school history, teaching mode, structure, basic principle, basic theory, significance and value of the new curriculum reform, and analyzes the middle school history model under the background of new curriculum reform. Second, under the guidance of theory, the writer combines his/her own teaching practice with others’, then take practices and do a lot of case studies about situational teaching method in middle school history teaching. Finally, facing the existing problems of teaching mode, the writer puts forward the improvement measures.In general, the paper aims to form a practical teaching mode through the combination of theory and practice. Hope it can play a positive role in middle school teachers’ teaching. At the same time, hope it can promote the new curriculum reform.
