As China’s comprehensive strength becomes increasing strong and culture as the “soft power” exerts greater influence, more and more foreign students come to China to learn its language and culture, especially in metropolitan cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Among these international students, the proportion of Arab students has also increased. Arabic culture is very different from ours, including religions, habits, language and so on. There is no doubt that foreign students in china will encounter many difficulties. How about the Arab students’ adaptability to cross culture? This problem remains to be solved. The researcher has looked into Arab students in Guangzhou from 3 perspectives, namely mental, social and academic adaptation. The mental adaptation scale(Zung’s depression self rating scale), social adaptation scale and academic adaptation scale were adopted by the researcher to investigate 57 Arab students cross-cultural adaptability. Through methods like correlation analysis and variance analysis, the researcher draws the following conclusions:First, the Arab students in Guangzhou overall belong to a mild depression group. Factors such as age, nationality, time in Guangzhou, identity as a student, major, international experience and Chinese proficiency have no significant effect on their psychological adaptation.Second, greatly affected by major and slightly affected by age, time in Guangzhou, identity as a student, international experience and Chinese proficiency, adaptation in social culture for the Arab students in Guangzhou is not difficult.Third, greatly affected by international experience and moderately affected by major and slightly affected by age, time in Guangzhou, identity as a student and Chinese proficiency, adaptation in academics for the Arab students in Guangzhou is not difficult.Fourth, the Arab student gets social support mainly from homeland relatives and friends rather than the host country.
