In the current process of our country’s compulsory education thoroughly advancing the quality education, it’s every educator’s responsibility to explore the methods of carrying out the quality education. Participative teaching is a method with which students are the center of teaching. By organizing and designing activities, the teacher arouses the motivation and participation of the students, realizing the students’ development of moral education, intellectual education, physical education and aesthetic education. Different from the traditional exam-oriented education, it pays more attention to the students’ process assessment, learning ways, learning habits and other abilities. While the latter’s main purpose is to stress the students’ academic performance. Therefore, the writer thinks that in the physics teaching of rural middle school, participative teaching can better satisfy the urgent demand of quality education and talent cultivation.By the methods of literature search, questionnaire survey and interview, this article firstly puts forward the participative teaching’s research significance, theoretical foundation, and the relevant connotation. Secondly, by means of questionnaires, it points out some typical problems, such as the exam-oriented tendency, lopsided development, paying no attention to train the students’ comprehensive abilities, etc. Then combining the writer’s teaching experiences, it extracts some relevant strategies about the participative teaching of rural middle schools’ physics teaching. Taking Zhuoshui Middle School in Wuchuan, Zunyi, Guizhou for example to conduct pilot study, the writer draws a conclusion that the participative teaching has definite effects on improving the students’ study interest, study motivation, self-study ability, school record, etc. In the end, it provides the research conclusion, and gives some advice to the school and teachers about carrying out the participative teaching.
