University personnel training is the important idea of university reform and development and also the starting and end point of college work. Nowadays, the "post 90s" have become the main group of college students. Time has brought them new changes in their behavioral characteristics, personality psychology, ideas, values and attitude towards life, which are both opportunities and challenges to our future personnel training. The research on the "past 90s" has inevitably become a new topic for university personnel training. Modern education should not only face the future but also absorb the essence of traditional Chinese culture. Confucius is an outstanding thinker and educator in ancient China. He accumulated rich experience in cultivating talents during his forty year’s teaching practice. Through some of his ideas become outdated with the development of society, the basic principles within are never behind the time. Many important ideas in Confucius’ view of talents still remain profoundly influential in today’s personnel training, and its potential value will be rediscovered and recognized with the spread of Confucianism around the world. This article aims to unearth some useful ideas to help cultivate the "past 90s" college students from Confucius’ view of talent by an in-depth studying of Confucianism, which is of great significance and enlightenment to the "past 90s" college students.The first chapter is introduction and the second chapter describes the content of Confucius’ view of talent with an overall analysis based on its special historical background. The foundation of Confucius’ view of talent is filial piety, respect the virtuous and integrity with three according aspects:gentlemen’s behaviors, knowledgeable literacy and great ability of undertaking. Confucius’ view of talent include moral philosophy of "morality first", equal philosophy of "make no social distinctions in teaching" and education philosophy of "lifetime learning". In a word, the purpose of Confucius’ talent cultivation is "A good scholar will make an official", the content of Confucius’ talent cultivation is "knowledgeable, practical, loyal and honest", the method of Confucius’ talent cultivation is "Teaching students in accordance of their aptitude" and the process is the combination of conception, emotion, will and action. The third chapter casts light on the current situation of university personnel training and life of the "past 90s", then expounds the status and effect of university in the cultivating of talents with methods of survey and investigation. The survey shows some problems in personnel training and analyses the reason. Chapter 4 will use the essence of Confucius’ idea to solve some problems in the cultivating of the "past 90s" and discuss the inspiration and realistic value of his ideology. The last chapter gives a full summary to the whole article.
