Effects Of Role Models And Gender On Students’ Entrepreneurial Intentions

As entrepreneurial economy can bring enormous influence on the economic and social progress,the government education institutions and scholars are exploring impacts on entrepreneurial intention. The intention can help us to find driving factors and hindrance,because it may explain why some people show higher or lower level in entrepreneurial activity.Role model is one of the most critical influence on entrepreneurial decision making.However,the study of role model can not explain how and why the role model has effects on entrepreneurial intention.On the basis of the theory of planned behavior, and after studying a lot of the domestic and foreign lectures, and to find problems, theoretical analysis, model building, empirical research study as the main line. The study choose college students as the research object, this paper discusses how role model affects entrepreneurial intention with the theory of planned behavior. Can role model explain differences of the personal attitude, social norms, and perceived behavioral control. In this process, What can entrepreneurship education do?The main conclusions of this study as follow:In the first, the role model has direct effect on entrepreneurial Attitude and perceived behavior control,and attitude,subjective norm and perceived control have positive effects on intention;Second, tthe entrepreneurial attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavior control as mediators between role models and entrepreneurial intention; Third,entrepreneurship education act as moderator between role models and entrepreneurial intention.This study has important theory meaning and practical meaning. Starting from theory, from the perspectives of role models, discusses the entrepreneurial intention formation mechanism, help to understand how role models to improve the entrepreneurship intention. Be realistic, it will provide a theoretical basis to give a new way to begin the entrepreneurship education, and provide theoretical basis for entrepreneurship education work, and provide theoretical basis for the government to make college students entrepreneurship policies.
