Based on the research object of the young teachers in Changshu Kuncheng Primary School, this paper is aimed at studying the professional development of young teachers in Changshu Kuncheng Primary School by using literature, questionnaire survey, interview method and other research methods. In order to promote the professional development of young teachers, Changshu Kuncheng Primary School takes the strategies in five aspects, including: strengthen the ideological construction of young teachers to enhance the cultivation of teachers; provide development platform for young teachers to promote their professional development by the protection of the organization’s system; construct Master and Apprentice Project and focus on young teachers classroom action research; improve young teachers’ scientific research ability and enhance young teachers’ theoretical level; encourage young teachers to goon with further studies to improve education degrees.Despite Changshu Kuncheng Primary School has taken the above strategies to promote the professional development of young teachers, the investigation shows that there are still the following problems: the teaching and research groups fail to give full play to the demonstration and guiding role of the backbone teachers; school training system of young teachers lacks in executive power; teachers mainly have passive cooperation; teachers lack energy and power to develop themselves; school training of young teachers is not comprehensive; teacher evaluation system can not stimulate teachers’ interest in their professional development.Based on the above problems the investigation has revealed, this paper puts forward some policy suggestions: schools should guide young teachers to strengthen self practice via finding particular students, strong competition, planning, promoting reflection; play a leading role in the demonstration of good education and promote the teachers grow; through the improvement of mentoring system, the enforcement of policies and the establishment of incentive fund system, strengthen the cultivation of young teachers; through the establishment of team cooperation consciousness mode, create a good atmosphere for team development; reduce the amount of workload of teachers and their occupation burnout in work; develop a phased growth plan of different levels and guide the young teachers’ common development; establishing incentive and effective praise mechanism, giving the spiritual and material reward, and setting up evaluation system, determine the target for the development of young teachers’ professional development.
