| Bicycle, once known as the main transportation for citizens, is gradually evolved into a kind of fashion sports. Cycling sports not merely can build fitness, but also can make people who are subject to long and working hours touch nature, thus enjoy physical and mental pleasure and the beautiful natural scenery. It makes the rises of environmental protection function, low carbon function, fitness entertainment function and tourist function of cycling sports. Recently the reconstruction and extension of parkway in Shijiazhuang make an effectively improvement of natural environment and a promotion of citizen’s health concept.The advantage of bodybuilding, eco-friendliness and no limitation of age makes a huge potential of cycling sports in Shijiazhuang. Therefore cycling becomes a popular physical training style.Adopted the methods of documentary, field investigation and interview, this paper makes an investigation and analysis about the current situation of leisure sports of cycling in Shijiazhuang. Based on the method of field investigation, the researcher conducted a field study and recorded data about ten bike routes. From the aspects of basic information of participants, manage state of club, investment of funds, situation of coach, bike routs and sports injury, the researcher took records and notes according to the answers of 50 club operators and 200 cycling enthusiasts in the interview. Consequently the researcher made a comprehensive insight of current situation of leisure cycling sports in Shijiazhuang, made a serious analysis of restricting elements of leisure cycling sports and revealed the the main problems of leisure cycling sports in Shijiazhuang.This research totally gets five results.First, leisure riding is at the growing stage in Shijiazhuang as numbers of civil bicycle organization and bicycle group in colleges and universities are both continually rising.Second, the rise of leisure cycling sports in Shijiazhuang,which is of great cultural and commercial value.Third, the development of leisure cycling sports has close relations with resident’s health consciousness, consumption concept, income level and educational background.Fourth, leisure cycling sports in Shijiazhuang lacks guidance and support from thegovernment. The present bike route and facilities can not satisfy the requirement of the cycling enthusiasts as the road planning of urban area lacks special bike paths which hindered the development of leisure cycling sports.Fifth, leisure cycling sports in Shijiazhuang lacks guidance of professional coaches.Most of the participants become icebreakers themselves and improve themselves, which lead to a lot of sports injuries and potential security problems.The researcher made seven recommendations about the development of leisure cycling sports in Shijiazhuang.First, the government and relevant department should strengthen management of public cycling group, and perfect service system of leisure cycling sports.Second, promote leisure cycling sports by means of radio, television, newspaper,network, etc.Third, improve urban road traffic and standardize the order of the traffic, which can make harmonious relationships among motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians. Besides, it is suggested to make special bike parkways.Fourth, make bicycle groups in Shijiazhuang incorporated into Urban Community operation and management platform. Use organization and management mode with the combination of public welfare, commerce and culture build special bicycle culture in Shijiazhuang.Fifth, sports functional department should organize bicycle sports events yearly and increase engagement of citizens.Sixth, strengthen the scientific research of leisure cycling sports, attach importance of attracting excellent bicycle coaches, strengthen the coach training, and improve professional competence and ability of current coaches.Seventh, learn successful experiences of leisure cycling sports at home and abroad, thus drive the movement of leisure cycling sports in Shijiazhuang. |
