Research On Orienteering Course Of Qinhuangdao Universities

The terrain of Qinhuangdao slopes gently from north to south. It has high cover rate of forest and pleasant climates. Orienteering are supported by the vast resources from university. Emphasis of orienteering from Qinhuangdao universities increased every year. Currently undergraduates have to face the comprehensive challenge from fast developing society. how to guarantee the healthy development of college students’ psychology make the college students’ psychological quality has greatly improved,which can better adapt to society after graduation.These questions are the major tasks of the universities in Qinhuangdao. In the recent years, the rapid development makes the country in great need of more talents.As an important platform to supply these talents, the development of higher education must adapt to the development of the times, comprehensive, variety, rich and colorful culture system has become the future direction of the development of higher education.Orienteering has already become one of the most popular sports among university campuses. Especially in Qinhuangdao, orienteering has been greatly developed.Physical Education(PE) is one of the key factor to sharpen the shape of undergraduates in both physical and psychological way. Orienteering has a great potential because of its popularity and high participation rates. In the other hand, orienteering is still new to us. During the development, flaw exists. The purpose of this article is to locate these problem and give specified solutions base on the fact of real situations of the universities in Qinhuangdao.We analyzed the current curriculum of orienteering, and discovered:First,by putting orienteering into the current structure of high education PE, it motivated students to participate PE voluntarily, helped reducing the psychological pressure, and greatly enhanced team-building.Second,low priority, lack of teacher, insufficient founding, weak safety management and unbalanced activity are the five major elements which restricted this sport in universities.Third,there seems conflict existing among the reform of physical education in colleges and universities under the new period,different demands for individualized teaching and lifelong sports target completion and aged curriculum setup in colleges and universities.Adding orienteering into college PE becomes necessary and urgent.Fourth,vast interests from students, sum up with valuable attentions from society, these made orienteering a formal PE class possible.Based on above 4 different prospects, this article gave detailed solutions to address problems occurred in college, society and teaching conducting. Facilitating teaching team, encouraging activity and knowledge, proper safety managing should be put on more effort by the university. Utilizing resource, mobilizing finance, establishing organization should be done by the government. And more details should be expended with the curriculum. All these optimizations including the forms of the course, start time, course site, scheduling, organization form and exercise intensity would provide necessary conditions, and will realize orienteering a part of the university PE.
