Higher vocational students are the main force of national production, construction, service and management, they have a certain humanistic quality is the new era of talent requirements. In order to promote the humanistic education in higher vocational colleges, and achieve the sustainable development of higher vocational students, higher vocational colleges must grasp the construction of humanistic quality curriculum. Humanistic quality curriculum of higher vocational colleges in Hunan cannot do without the profound cultural background of Hunan culture. After thousands of years, Huxiang culture from generation to generation. It includes patriotic sentiments, practical style of study, inclusion, and dare be the world first, what makes it come to shine in Chinese traditional culture. It is extremely useful for higher vocational colleges to develop humanistic quality curriculum when we put it into the humanities courses.The issue of how humanities curriculum in higher vocational colleges fusion of Huxiang culture should from four levels analysis. First of all, through the literature research method to analyze the current situation of domestic research, summed up the current problems of the research on the higher vocational humanities literacy curriculum. Secondly, from the needs of society, the national support, cultural functions and higher vocational students’ sustainable development need, we analyze the fusion possibility and sort out the fusion value, for example, cultural value, emotional value, resource value and so on. Third, In order to obtain the current humanistic courses in higher vocational colleges fusion of Huxiang culture,we carry on a questionnaire survey on 1100 vocational college students in Hunan by random to understand the demand of higher vocational students and conduct an in-depth interviews on 30 teachers. On the basis of them, there are some problems of humanities quality course. For example, the course target is relatively backward, the course content emphasis on theories, teaching methods and evaluation methods are monotonous, and so on. Finally, with the investigation of the current situation and the problems, the paper proposes some effective strategies. How important it is to optimize of ideology, social and educational environment for effective integration of humanities courses of Hunan culture. Then we should add the Huxiang culture essence into the curriculum, including pragmatic style of study, patriotic feelings, dare to first quality, and enduring struggle spirit. What’s more, we also should expand the methods, establish responsibility system, adopt democratic teaching system, and implement flexible evaluation mechanism.
