Mathematics plays a very important role in the development of human civilization, promoting the progress of science and technology. Especially in today’s society, mathematics has almost penetrated into every field of life, and many foreign countries have put emphasis on the teaching reform of middle school mathematics in the cultivation of students’ mathematics application consciousness. Our country also increased on high school students’ mathematics application consciousness training,emphasizing in senior high school mathematics curriculum in the learning process to let the student feel mathematics and the life, to enable students to understand mathematics application in a wide range of, to make students gradually emerged and formed the consciousness of mathematics application.Obviously, to pay attention to the cultivation of students’ mathematics application consciousness has become the consensus of mathematics education at home and abroad.However, in reality we can see that: many high school students know nothing other than the mathematical calculation function, not to mention to enable students to use mathematical knowledge, methods and ideas to solve real life problems. A high stage is the initial stage of high school, high school students in thinking than junior high school students have a great leap forward, the entrance pressure is far less than high school,high school students, which provide the opportunity for the generation and development of the student’s mathematics application consciousness. If teachers in higher stage to cultivate students’ consciousness of mathematics application, then not only can stimulate students’ interest in learning, let students to understand mathematics application value, forming correct conception of mathematics learning, and can let the student mathematics is used in real life, the party will be their own life and for the development of science and technology, social progress to provide necessary help.Therefore, the author believes that it is necessary to investigate and cultivate the students’ consciousness of mathematics application.This study is mainly based on the questionnaire survey of students’ mathematics application consciousness and the daily communication with some high school students,and combined with the 3 teaching cases, to explore the strategies of cultivating the students’ mathematics application consciousness. This paper is divided into six parts: the first part is the introduction. Mainly why to do this research, this study mainly studies the what problem, do the research significance, with what method to study, at home and abroad of the research work do what extent were expounded in this paper, and the two key concepts of mathematics application, mathematics application consciousness are defined, points out the theoretical basis of this paper(the teaching principle of Freudenthal, construct doctrine school theory of transfer, Yuan cognition theory).The second part is the practice, the sample investigated the Chengdu Tianfu District Huayang middle school high school students, and for a high school student’s mathematics application consciousness present situation is analyzed. The third part from the students, teachers, schools and parents, evaluation mechanism of the four aspects of the high school students mathematics application awareness of the cause of the weak.The fourth part puts forward some strategies for the cultivation of mathematics applied consciousness of high school students from the aspect of teachers. Especially on materials easily neglected by teachers and to the student mathematics application consciousness cultivating positive part( "chapter head figure and introduction," information technology "," reading and thinking, "the practice work") were content to comb and puts forward suggestions for teaching, which is also the innovation. In the fifth part, through the analysis of the questionnaire of the students’ consciousness of mathematics application, it is concluded that the training strategy proposed by the author is effective. The sixth part is the conclusion, which gives the core point of this paper, the limitations of the study and the prospects for future research.
