| Applied consciousness is one of the ten core concepts in junior middle school mathematics curriculum.In today’s information society,the application of mathematics has penetrated into the aspects of our production and life.This paper focuses on the status and cultivation of junior high school students’ applied consciousness of mathematics from the theoretical and empirical aspects.In the aspect of theory,this paper reviews the relevant research literature on mathematics application consciousness at home and abroad and the changes of mathematics application consciousness in curriculum standards.In the empirical aspect,first of all,it tests the mathematics application consciousness of junior three students,and carries on the interview to the test students.The results of test and interview show that the current situation of junior high school students’ mathematics application consciousness is not optimistic,and their mathematics application level is weak.It is mainly reflected in the following four points :(1)students’ insufficient understanding of mathematical application and weak awareness of mathematical application;(2)students often do not understand the meaning of the application questions,and are not familiar with the application background of some mathematics;(3)students are not good at transforming complex practical problems into mathematical models,and have high error rate in solving mathematical application problems.(4)students scored well in solving algebra practical problems,but were weak in geometry applications.Secondly,based on the analysis results of students’ tests and interviews,based on the mathematics curriculum standards,combined with teacher interviews,classroom observation and mathematics application teaching cases,this paper puts forward several strategies for the cultivation of junior high school students’ mathematics application consciousness :(1)the new knowledge teaching focuses on the actual background creation and knowledge formation process;(2)model building and model solving in mathematics application teaching;(3)the comprehensive practice activity promotes mathematics application consciousness enhancement.In addition,for each point strategy,this paper also gives some cases for analysis. |
