With the development of new curriculum reform year by year, our school, Jiaxiang Foreign Languages School, has obtained higher grades in teaching and has been among an elite group of schools in Sichuan province. In 2013, the Education Bureau of Chengdu approved the trial of “2+4 segmentation curriculum reform pilot project” in our school, which is aimed to connect junior study and senior study in a better way. The project focuses on students’ performance in the third year of junior high school, exploring the way to cultivate top-notch innovative talents by offering them ordinary high school curriculum. As a result, our school enrolled 2+4 reform experimental class in 2013, and the studio concerning each subject was set up to carry out the project. The author, head of the 2+4 physics studio, finally finds suitable physics-teaching contents and teaching methods after doing plenty of work, such as touring and learning from domestic similar schools, conducting many surveys to know students’ learning abilities and thinking ways.Since a conclusion is drawn from the research regularly, what’s presented in this paper has already been put into practice. The research methods adopted are as follows--reference, literature analysis, surveys(interviews, questionnaires), case analysis and so on. The research mainly concentrates on three aspects: the operation method of physic in selecting students for 2+4 class, the teaching practice of physics in junior high and the implementation of linking up junior and senior high school’s physics teaching.Through research into the function of physics in operating the selection mode of2+4 class, the author formulates reasonable learning contents of physics elective course and the contents of the selective examination, which are based on the requirements of2+4 experimental curriculum reform in physics and the features of thinking and studying level of 7th graders. That also contributes to a successful completion of the selection task for the students. As for the junior high physics teaching practice andresearch in 2+4 class, the author follows the new curriculum standard of physics in junior high and the guiding ideology of elite education in our school, combines physics-leaning contents in junior high with those in senior high by adjusting the learning contents and boldly adopts a variety of teaching methods, thus gaining a satisfactory result. Without doubt the study on the convergence of physical teaching is most challenging. During the process of practice, the author first makes a comparison of the physics-learning contents between junior high and senior high by utilizing the transition teaching time--three months and thereby determines the transitional teaching contents which can break through the barriers. Also, the author tries various modes of teaching in practice, leads students to experience the experiment and study the connection between physics and other subjects independently, which finally leads to the junior high physics curriculum contents and mode of operation for 2+4 classes taking shape. The highlights of this work shows below:(1) Compared with the schools like Beijing National Day School which have developed to mature stage in the year education combination, it is more suitable for the similar schools which are also in the early stages of reform in the southwest areas.(2) Our object of study is the quick learners instead of all the students, so the course content and teaching scheme is targeted.(3) This work has supplemented the research of Sichuan, which can make a contribution to the elite education of our school and provide valuable materials especially in physics for the researchers in the related field.
