In recent years,the studies of the transition in ELT from junior to senior have been developed constantly and have become one of the central concerns of ELT.Generally,these studies have introduced the transition in ELT from junior to senior as a whole,which are mainly from three aspects:teaching materials,teaching strategies and learner factors.However,at present,there are few school-based curriculum in China.The paper notes the limits of present research and focuses on school-based curriculum on transition of English teaching from junior to senior.Supported by the theory of school-based curriculum,this paper introduced from two aspects,the aspect of design and practice.From the aspect of design,this paper analyzed the transition of English teaching from junior to senior.From the aspect of practice,this paper analyzed the problems and solutions.With sufficient analyses and examples,this paper aims at discovering the transition problems and finding out the solutions thus enable students to make smooth transition to senior.This paper mainly applies questionnaire and interview to do a study of school-based curriculum on transition of English teaching from junior to senior.During the research stage,this paper does a survey on students'knowledge and behavior.What's more,in the process of making up materials,teachers make efforts to do it based on the former research.While carrying out the materials,this paper finds out that it's easier to have influence on students' knowledge rather than behavior.Although the study can conduct transition from junior to senior,it still needs further study.
