The 2011 edition new curriculum standards have been promulgated and implemented nearly three years, with the new curriculum standards continue to improve today.In the actual teaching process,the majority of our physical education teachers do encounter a lot of problems, how to implement the new curriculum standards philosophy, how to reach new curriculum standards of teaching goals, and how to better enable students to master the corresponding actual classroom teaching content, has become a key issue in teaching sports. Only with reasonable teaching methods in order to efficiently complete the task of teaching, curriculum standards reached the level corresponding to the target. In today’s physical education, selection and use of a single teaching method without use any others methods,this unreasonable situation are normal, especially more prominent in compulsory education. So we have to strengthen the relevant research in teaching.According to different teaching content, select the appropriate teaching methods, and better implementation of the new curriculum standards ideas. In this paper, we set the 2011 edition of the new curriculum standards as the background to Xi’an Junior High PE teaching methods design for the study, teaching physical education in Xi’an by the current content, teaching methods of investigation, combined with the Xi’an students’ favorite sports, teaching methods tend to the survey, Junior High School Physical Education Xi’an learned practical problems on the basis of the 2011 edition new curriculum standards ideas, depond on the different teaching objectives and teaching contents,design teaching methods for teach sports and health knowledge, teach technology and skills, physical development of students, collective spirit and cooperation awareness of students. The main conclusions are:(1) 67.8 percent of PE teachers in the 2011 edition new curriculum standards ideas are more understanding, this can explanation that the majority of teachers still have received relevant learning. However, the actual implementation of the situation is still not optimistic, full implementation of the school performed less than 20%. 53.9% of students believe that teachers select appropriate teaching methods can mobilize their interests, while helping them acquire the knowledge learned.(2) Xi’an junior high school PE teachers in the selection of sports teaching methods, mainly using traditional sports teaching methods, poorly understood for innovative teaching methods, teaching methods overall lack of innovation and flexibility.(3)Through inquiry-based teaching methods, heuristic-based teaching method, situational- based method, cooperative-based teaching pedagogy real cases, students can know for innovative teaching methods based teaching methods welcomed, Students generally considered that innovative teaching methods to better stimulate their interest in learning the sport, improve the individual’s emotional experience, and the interaction between students and teachers as well as a significant increase in the pleasant and relaxing atmosphere mastered the sport technical skills.
