The International Charter for Geographical Education(1992 edition)states that "curriculum designers must pay close attention to students with special needs and the different needs of students at all stages of development." The 2016 International Charter for Geography Education also points to the best geographical teaching for different learner groups in the study of geography education.It can be seen that in the international geography teaching pay stake to the development of students at different stages and different levels of thinking.Through the study of behavioral verbs,it is beneficial for teachers to clarify the core quality of geographical subjects and grasp the teaching level,and provides theoretical guidance for the process and method of learning students.This paper analyzes the selective compulsory curriculum behavioral verbs in the 2017 edition of high school geography curriculum employing literature research and case studies.At the same time,the design of the teaching methods of behavioral verbs is as follows.First,the characteristics of selective compulsory curriculum behavior verbs in high school geography curriculum are: 1.There are few kinds of selective compulsory curriculum behavior verbs in high school geography curriculum,and their learning level is described,compared,explained and analyzed from low to high.According to its behavior objectives,analysis and interpretation all focus on the study of influence-type knowledge,while the explanation focuses on the study of meaningful knowledge.2.Selective compulsory curriculum behavior verbs in high school geography curriculum standards are at the level of analysis and understanding.3.Selective compulsory curriculum behavior verbs in high school geography curriculum are mainly directed towards comprehensive thinking.However,in the second-level index of comprehensive thinking,the four types of behavioral verbs are based on element synthesis.Second,the selective compulsory curriculum behavior verb teaching method in the high school geography curriculum: from the perspective of cognitive method,mainly map method,analysis method,visual method,observation method,case analysis method.From the point of view of teaching means,there are mainly geographical schematics,videos,case materials,visual teaching aids of geographical images,and from the point of view of organizational methods,there are mainly discussion methods,case teaching methods,reading guidance methods,questions and answers.The teaching methods of the behavior verb "description" category are: intuitive method,video,question and answer method,case analysis method,case material,case teaching method,analysis method,geographical image visual teaching aids,discussion method,behavior verb "comparison" class teaching method is: comprehensive comparison method,geographical schematic and discussion method,teaching methods of the behavioral verb "explanation" are: reasoning method,geographical image visual teaching aids,simulation experiment method,map method,geographical schematic/geographic statistical chart,reading guidance method and the teaching methods of the behavioral verb "analysis" are: map method,geographical schematic,discussion method,intuitive method,video,discussion method,analysis method,textbook,discussion method.Third,four examples of selective compulsory curriculum behavior verb teaching in high school geography curriculum are designed: explaining the significance of the establishment of nature reserves for ecological safety,comparing the development of the Yangtze River Delta and Songnen Plains,explaining the influence of internal and external forces on the change of surface morphology,and analyzing the environmental impact of carbon emissions.
