Writing teaching is a very important module in Senior Chinese teaching. However, it is a popular way for Chinese teachers to train students’ writing ability from the perspective of literature. The writing style, language modification and the training of writing thinking have become the main content of Chinese writing teaching in high school. Students improve their writing ability by reading excellent compositions, classics and literary magazines, which is limited to the narrow field of literature and is seldom involved in non-literary fields.The thesis tries to explore non-literary impacts on the Chinese teaching of writing in order to guide students’ writing perspective from literary to non-literary. The thesis mainly focuses on the impacts of non-literary factors, like music, painting and architecture, on Chinese writing teaching and it relates the positive effects of multi-subject infiltration on students’ writing. These non-literary factors can cultivate students’ writing esthetic abilities, including hearing, rhythm, rhyme, structure and vision, arouse students’ interest of writing and broaden their writing perspective.Music is an art that reflects the emotions of human in real life. It is also a language art, which appears in a one-dimensional way. The rhythm, emotion and rhyme of music are closely related to writing so Chinese teachers can make full use of music to cultivate students’ awareness of emotion, rhythm, rhyme and capturing hearing, which is of great benefit to writing teaching.Painting is to pain graphic images of things with color and line on paper, cloth, walls or other flat surfaces. It is a form of plastic arts, showing its characteristics in a two-dimensional way. In the painting, the use of color, the awareness of composition, the unique artistic conception in painting works can cultivate students’ writing ability of visual perception, writing structure and rich imagination and association ability. And these abilities are the key to writing good articles.Architecture is the general term for buildings and structures, and it is the artificial environment created by the people who use material and technical means, a certain scientific law, the principles of Feng Shui and aesthetic rules, to meet the needs of social life. Architecture is a three-dimensional art, which has a strong three-dimensional sense and well-proportioned layout. The awareness of structure used in architecture and the history background of the construction itself can provide a reference for writing teaching and provide a wealth of writing material.In addition, there are a lot of non-literary factors, which are related to the teaching of writing. The thesis, based on a comprehensive understanding of PEP Chinese textbooks in high school, discusses the significance of non-literary factors and writing teaching, analyzes the current situation of high school writing teaching and then gradually explores new ideas of writing teaching by combining with teaching practice.With the combination of references and personal teaching experience, this paper tries to solve the practical problems of Chinese writing teaching in senior high school so as to improve the students’ writing ability.
