Corporate Universities came into being with the implementation of opening up and economic reform policy, and have witnessed prosperous development on basis of borrowing experiences from the successful role model universities worldwide. There are approximately 400 Corporate Universities established within less than 20 years in China. The rapid growth of the Corporate Universities has highlighted their great strategic importance.In terms of the construction modes, regardless of their featuring autonomous-built, IT-leading, enterprise-institution cooperated, or enterprises’ cooperating, cooperation in finance and sharing in resource are still the mainstream. Cooperation, co-construction,sharing and mutual benefit are the irreplaceable develop trends of Corporate Universities. Corporate Universities are seen as a significant part of the strategic development of enterprises and a supportive platform to ensure staff in-service trainings and their lifetime learning. They also provide enterprises with constant knowledge input and talents(workforce), and they are able to supply a chance to expand enterprises’ scope of resource. They are regarded as the main way to carry out the enterprises’ strategy of manpower capital and to build up the core competence. A well-organized operation of Corporate Universities works as a protector for ensuring enterprises’ transformation, upgrading and innovation against the background of globalization, marketization and knowledge-oriented management. However, domestic Corporate Universities are currently at their initial stage and problematic in the process of growth, there is still a big gap between other Corporate Universities in developed countries and them. In this case, more research into Corporate Universities are necessary to find out more applicableways which can enable Chinese enterprises and Chinese Corporate Universities to develop well. In turn, it is likely to improve the performance in the Universities and provide a solid support for national strategic aim of establishing lifelong learning society and becoming a strong nation in terms of human resources.Based on the case study of an enterprise and institution co-constructed Corporate University, namely, the Chinese South Rail University, this paper aims to study on the measurements and outcomes that Chinese South Rai University has made in order to strengthen its reputation in the field of rail transit equipment manufacturing involving its organization structure, operation and curriculum settings, and in turn set a good example for the construction of other same Universities in China. To be specific, 1) Build up distinguished Corporate Universities based on taking both national conditions and enterprises’ actual implementation of the university strategy into consideration. 2).Clarify the vision and construction concept of Corporate Universities by revolving around the enterprise development. 3). Set up lifelong learning idea, strengthen knowledge management and build up a learning organization. 4). Design the curriculum carefully and focus on how to combine the classroom teaching and the virtual training via internet. 5).Emphasis the key role that professional training are playing in Corporate Universities. 6) Establish a complete appraisal system and make quantization in management. 7) Strengthen the integration of resources in the industry chain and make full of the field-related resources. 8) It is suggested to enhance the horizontal cooperation with higher education institutions, the vocational and applicative ones in particular, and utilize the quality educational resources of institutions fully.
