The rapid development of knowledge economy makes the whole society pay more attention to scientific knowledge and science and technology, which also leads to a tendency of diversified development of the society’s demands on the levels and specifications of talents. And higher education also enters a new era of developing from "elite education" to "popular education". Under such background, applied undergraduate education arises at the historic moment. This paper studies the optimization of the talents training course system under the perspective of applied undergraduate education.In the recent two decades, the major of education technology has achieved rapid development and expansion in China. A complete talent cultivation system of education technology has been set up, including professional training, undergraduate, master, and doctor education, which has cultivated a large number of educational technology talents. In these schools, there are quite a number of local universities and newly established undergraduate colleges etc which implement applied undergraduate education. However, the current graduates trained through educational technology lack hands-on ability and strong ability of innovation, not fit for the needs of employer institutions and organizations. Therefore, solutions can be found in two aspects. One is whether the orientation of talent cultivation is in line with the local economic and social development, and the other is whether the curriculum setting is in line with talents training of the applied undergraduate education.This paper takes Changji University, an applied undergraduate college, as a case. First a preliminary illustration is made on its construction of educational technology curriculum system. Based on that, follow-up survey and investigation are made on the college, to identify and clarify the problems existing in its talent training goal and curriculum system; Then according to the principles of optimizing the applied undergraduate colleges and universities curriculum system and the "technology" feature of the education technology major itself, optimization is made on the curriculum system.The content of each chapter is listed as follows:Chapter one is the introduction part, mainly explaining the reason and significance of this research, focusing on the explanation of the key academic terms and the current research status at home and abroad. On the basis of that, the research questions, content and train of thought are identified.Chapter two involves the current status of the applied undergraduate colleges and universities curriculum provision and the optimization of the curriculum system. This part explains the characteristics of talent cultivation in applied undergraduate colleges and the principle of curriculum system optimization, to lay a solid theoretical basis for the optimization of educational technology curriculum system oriented on the training of applied talents.Chapter three is about the construction of educational technology curriculum system of Changji College. This part takes the educational technology major of Changji College, an applied undergraduate college for example, to clarify the process of setting up an education technology professional curriculum system, and makes a follow-up investigation on the curriculum system established, to identify the problems existing in the curriculum system in terms of phenomena.Chapter four concerns the optimization strategy of educational technology curriculum system in Changji College. This part includes the core content of the paper. According to the principle of curriculum system optimization in applied undergraduate colleges presented in Chapter Two and the specific problems in the curriculum system constructed for the educational technology in Changji College, combined with the feature of educational technology itself, ideas and measures are put forward to solve the problems and optimize the curriculum system.Chapter five is the conclusion part. The whole paper is summarized to get a conclusion. And it also gives proper instructions on the study of the curriculum system optimization of this subject.
