With the deepening of education reform, the development of students’ core literacy and the cultivation of students’ must-have characters and key abilities which are needed in order to meet the needs of lifelong development and social development have become the main idea of education. With the implementation of quality-oriented education, the improvement of primary school students’ mental quality is becoming a very important part of school quality education. Most of the primary school students spend most of their time in school, and the classroom teaching is the basic form of the school teaching work. The complex structure and interaction hidden behind the various factors in the classroom teaching is the basic part of their school life, or even their whole life. They have a direct impact on the students’ current and future growth and development. Therefore, the research on the factors that affect the mental health of students in the specific environment of the classroom teaching can not be ignored when it comes to promoting students’ mental health. This research is divided into five parts. The first part raises the question, which mainly expounds the theoretical value and practical value of this research. The second part is a summary of literature research, which describes the standard, basic theories and impact elements of primary school students’ mental health and the definition, the principles and ways of school mental health education. The third part introduces the design of the questionnaire and the process of how the survey is implemented: on the basis of reference to others and student interviews, we made a questionnaire which has good reliability and validity. Then we used the whole class random sampling method and asked 944 grade1-3 primary students from 3 different primary schools in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, recycling 903 effective questionnaires. The fourth part is to explore the factors that affect the students’ mental health, which led to 3 most representative factors and the influence of these factors on the students’ mental health. The fifth part puts forward specific measures and suggestions based on the investigation and analysis of the factors which affected grade 1-3 primary students’ mental health during classroom teaching, in order to provide a reference for classroom teaching to improve the mental health of students.Research results show that:1. the main factors that affect the mental health of grade 1-3 primary school students in the classroom teaching are "classroom teaching environment", "school adaptation" and "teachers", ranked according to the contributing rate of cumulative sums of squares.2. "Classroom teaching environment" factor, "school adaptation" factor and "teachers" factor have significantly different influence on students from different grades.3. A number of countermeasures are put forward to protect and improve students’ mental health based on the 3 main factors mentioned above.
