A Study On Primary And Middle School Teachers’ Mental Health

Education lies in Teachers, and teachers’level of mental health directly affects the quality of education and the physical and mental health of students. In these years, the mental health status of the teachers is not optimistic. The teachers’corporal punishment-student events frequently appear in newspapers. Therefore, it is very important to pay attention to teachers’ psychological health and give teachers psychological care and help, as a result teachers will put to work in a positive and healthy mentality.In profits from the domestic and foreign existing research results, this study is about187Changchun primary and middle school, with the combination of documentary analysis, questionnaire survey, interview exchange method via the SCL-90scale. The results show, Changchun primary and middle school teachers’psychological health level is lower than the ordinary die. The detection rate of severe psychological problems reached20.8%. Obsessive compulsive symptoms, interpersonal sensitivity, somatization symptoms and depression are the main psychological problems. Primary school teachers’ psychological health level is higher than the junior middle school teachers’. Male teachers’mental health level is higher than that of female teachers’. That indicates, there are significant differences in the mental health level of different teacher groups. For primary and secondary school teachers’ mental health problems, the researcher believes that we can regulate and guide teachers’mental health problems effectively, from three aspects:the society, school and individual.
