Research purposes:Youth's physical and mental health,physical strength,strong-willedness,and full of vitality are the embodiment of a nation's vitality,a symbol of social progress,and an important aspect of the nation's overall strength.In recent years,the state has continuously issued relevant documents and opinions to strengthen the reform of school sports,and to promote the overall development of students' physical and mental health as the focus and goal of school work reform in the future.Judging from the national student physical and health survey data in recent years,the physical quality of primary and secondary school students all show a clear growth trend and gradually develop toward a good one,but the overall level is still not high.The latest survey of mental health among children aged 4 to 16 years old found that the incidence of psychological and behavioral problems among Chinese children was as high as 13.9%,and about 2/5 of students had different degrees of mental disorders.In recent years,studies have shown that children's interest in track and field sports can effectively promote the development of students'physical and mental qualities.However,research mainly focuses on the impact of physical health,but there are few studies on mental health.Therefore,on the basis of previous studies,this article explores the influence of children's track and field teaching on physical and mental health of pupils,provides theoretical support for the development of students' physical and mental health,and provides reference for the development of targeted teaching strategies for the physical and psychological development of pupils.Research methods:This study mainly used the methods of literature data,questionnaires,experiment methods,mathematical statistics,and logical analysis methods to study the basic physical and mental health of fourth-year primary school students in Meiqi School in Yangzhou and their physical and mental health before and after the experiment.The changes in indicators and the reasons for changes in physical and mental health are studied and analyzed.Research results:(1)In the overall level of physical health,the effects of different teaching experiments on pupils' physical health scores are different(F(1,94)= 7.69,P=0.007<0.05).The effect of the improvement is an experiment.Experimental group>Contrastive group.(2)In terms of physical health indicators,the experimental group's vital capacity,50m run,1 minute skipping,1 minute sit-ups and other indicators were significantly improved before and after the experiment.BMI and seated body flexion did not change significantly;the control group's BMI,50m run,1 minute skipping,1 minute sit-ups and other indicators before and after the experiment had a significant increase.Vital capacity and seated body flexion did not change significantly.(3)At the overall level of mental health,the effects of different teaching experiments on pupils' mental health(MTH scores)were different(F(1,94)=59.49,P=0.000<0.05).The effect of the improvement was experimental.Experimentalgroup>Contrastive group.(4)In each dimension of mental health,the anxiety level of the experimental group before and after the experiment was significantly lower in the dimensions of learning anxiety,self-accusation tendency,physical symptoms,and fear symptoms.In the dimensions of anxiety,loneliness,allergic tendency and impulsive tendency,the changes before and after the experiment were not significantly different,but they all showed a downward trend.In the control group,the differences in the physical symptoms before and after the experiment were significant.There has been a noticeable drop.In the dimensions of anxiety,fear,impulsiveness,etc.,the changes before and after the experiment were not significant,but they all showed a downward trend.In the dimensions of learning anxiety,loneliness,self-accusation,and allergic tendency,the changes before and after the experiment were not significant,but they all showed a tendency of increase.Research conclusions:(1)Both children's fun track and field and regular physical education teaching can improve the physical and mental health of pupils.(2)Children's interest in track and field teaching is more conducive to improving the physical health of pupils than regular physical education teaching.Especially in terms of BMI,vital capacity,50m runs,and 1 minute skipping,the effect of the experimental group is better than that of the control group.Significant.(3)Children's interest in track and field teaching is more conducive to improving the mental health of primary school students than regular physical education teaching.Especially in the dimensions of learning anxiety,self-accusation,physical symptoms,and fear symptoms,the experimental group improved compared with the control group.The effect is more pronounced.
