As a third-year student of mathematics teacher, the author finds that most of students with low transfer ability in the teaching experience. Gick & Holyoak (1983)defines that "Transfer ability is a kind of influence of one study to another.". According to transfer ability theory, this study conducted a research that develops the transfer ability of the students. In this study, the author used questionnaire to test the test students’ advanced knowledge and existing transfer ability. This study finds:for the students who have better learning abilities, teachers can (1) teach students how to comprehend by analogy; (2) guide students to initiative inquiring learning; (3) design appropriate a series of questions; (4) grasp the nature of learning. On the contrary, for the students who low learning abilitis, teachers can (1) ennhance students’ self-efficacy; (2) locat students’ the "Zone of proximal development"; (3) strengthen students’ metacognitive ability. Finally, the author expect this study can enlighten mathematics teachers with similar confusion.
