| The purpose of this study is to improve teaching methods and formats of the school-based curriculum in Information Technology. To achieve the overall goal, the author used Internet Ethics class as the practicing medium in developing the information technology school-based curriculum, and applied acquired pedagogical experiences and skills onto teaching of other subjects in the information technology school-based curriculum. Research methods include literature review, case study and questionnaire. The study involved four parts, namely design, execution, effect analysis of the course and reflections. For the design of course, this study integrated information technology into internet ethics as the subject of teaching and designed the course named "Cultivation of Good Internet Ethics"; During academic year 2014-2015, this study conducted teaching practice in the high school students from eleven classes of grade one, and analyze effect of the course, questionnaire survey was conducted in these four above mentioned classes to collect data about their perceptions and experiences of internet ethics behavior and values. Research results showed that students’ perception of internet ethics values and experience of internet ethics behaviors were statistically significantly associated with recognition of the course. This the study finding provides preliminary references for further improving teaching quality of internet ethics, as well as other subjects of information technology school-based curriculum. |
