The primary school stage of the study to the junior high school stage of the study laid the foundation for the junior high school stage of the study and to lay the foundation for the high school stage. If the teaching of two adjacent stages of education is inappropriate, it will certainly affect the follow-up stage of the teacher’s teaching and students’ learning. Because of various reasons, many areas of the junior high school and high school stage of the geography teaching has been a problem. With the development of society, the state of education is more and more attention, the problem of the teaching of the convergence is more and more attention.In order to study the present situation, reasons and Countermeasures of the middle school geography teaching in Yicheng city,The author read the relevant literature, analysis the background and significance of the effective connection of junior high school geography teaching, and take the constructivist learning theory, relevance theory teaching theory, learning motivation theory, learning transfer theory as the theoretical basis of this thesis.The author takes the high school geography teachers as the research sample, and uses the interview method, questionnaire survey method to investigate the students’ learning situation and psychological situation, the basic situation and the teaching situation of senior middle school geography teachers:First, the reform of the high school geography teaching system, increase the proportion of the geographical score in the exam, so that schools, teachers, students, parents are valued.Second, find a suitable way of convergence, so that the convergence effect to achieve the best.Third, the teachers aspectto,enhance the professional quality of the geography teachers, schools should take a variety of methods to provide teachers with the opportunity to learn, teachers themselves should also learn to improve themselves through various channels; teachers should improve teaching methods, mainly from the following several aspects to do, (1) to strengthen the cohesion awareness, in-depth understanding of students, (2) are familiar with teaching materials, curriculum standards, design teaching cohesion, (3) to pay attention to the cultivation of non intellectual factors.Fourth, students, students should change their learning methods, so that the initiative to join,such as:(1) to change the mechanical memory, focus on understanding, (2) to form the habit of reading charts, (3) to develop good learning habits.
