High school geography teaching is a higher level of geography education based on nine years of compulsory education.However,there are many high school geography teachers know little about the junior high school geography teaching,so they can not find a better way to guide the high school freshman to adapt to high school geography study.The geography study of high one school is the core of the whole high school geography study.Therefore,the disjointed phenomenon in the junior high school geography study will affect the overall quality of high school geography study.I'm in the City of Huangshi,a key high school as a geography teacher,so I know more about the junior high school geography education situation of Huangshi.With the development of Geography curriculum reform in Huangshi,More and more middle school geography teachers have begun to pay attention to the high school geography teaching convergence problem,and put forward some effective countermeasures according to the teaching experience.Therefore,it is an important means to reduce the gap between the primary and secondary high school geography education and improve the quality of geography teaching in middle school.To this end,the author made a preliminary exploration for it from the theory and practice.On the basis of reading a lot of literature and practice investigation,this paper summarizes the research results of the connection problem of junior high school education both at home and abroad,the concept of bridging education is presented and the concept of effective connection between junior and senior high school geography teaching is further elucidated,also the background and significance of effective connection between junior high school geography teaching is showed.Some related educational psychology theories such as system theory,structuralism teaching theory,cognitive theory,constructivist learning theory,knowledge mastering theory,geography teaching theory are the theoretical basis of this study,respectively,selected a key high school in Huangshi and an ordinary high school students for the study,Using the comparative analysis method,interviewing method and so on to investigate the two middle school students' learning situation and the teachers' education situation.This paper analyzes the causes of the problems and explores the countermeasures of improving the effective teaching of geography teaching in junior high schools and the suggestions to improve teachers 'geography teaching methods and students' learning methods.Finally,the conclusion is drawn.Only by updating the concept of education and teaching constantly,in the multifaceted efforts and cooperation,in order to minimize the transition from junior high school students caused by the phenomenon of differentiation,to prevent students from the initial fear of learning caused by the phenomenon of partial seizures,mastering the geographical learning methods,and enable the students to establish the correct geographical values,improving the overall level and the quality of students.
