Counselors are an important part of university teachers, good and bad counselors work directly related to the development of students and universities. Application-oriented institutions have characteristics different from other colleges, counselors exist pressure, burnout, enthusiasm is not high, the team instability problems, and mentioned several times in national policy development professional counselors requirements, thus optimizing the performance management counselor is particularly important.In this paper, draw existing research results to application-oriented performance management institutions for the study, analysis and empirical research literature method of combining research. First, according to professional counselors elements, combined with incentive theory, analysis of application-oriented institutions instructor status and performance management issues.
