High school geography, with a large knowledge span is comprehensive and tightly connected with real life, which makes teachers teaching and students learning more difficult. From this angle, geography teaching in high school is in urgent need of continually improving teaching methods. It is aimed to promote students’ spatial thinking and practical ability, which enables students to master the basic concepts and principles of geography and help them apply geographic knowledge to real their life.Based on the second chapter of compulsory textbooks, teaching and learning the learning situation analysis, for " atmosphere on the earth " units of inquiry effective teaching strategies.Through the analysis of the second chapter teaching position and status of the college entrance examination, understand "the earth atmosphere" knowledge system characteristics; Through the different grades of high school students learning motivation, learning Investigation of interest, learning methods, learning disabilities, etc., to understand the status of high school students learning geography.Finally, the integration of several aspects of teaching, teaching, teaching and other graphics geography teaching strategies proposed for high school students.During the study, the questionnaire, reading literature, interviews and other methods are employed.
