The process of ideological and political education as a kind of social activity, nature belongs to the category of communication activity of thought, with the development of the society, facing the situation of ideological and political education activities more complex and changeable, the ideological and political educators face the challenges of an unprecedented increase. he generation of communications and established, which influence the development of other disciplines and even the survival of mankind. In the current situation, with the development of communication and influence, on the one hand, making it possible to ideological and political education activities focus on communication, on the other hand also make use of communication principle of ideological and political education become an objective trend. Audience theory is based on the audience as the core to construct the modern communication theory. From the Angle of audience theory to examine the ideological and political education activities, to enhance the actual effect of ideological and political education in university, which has important reference value and enlightenment.This paper will be divided into three parts:The first part compares the ideological and political education and communication activities, and points out that the ideological and political education activities and communication goals consistent with the elements of the correspondence, activity process, the activity type have similarities, but both in the both the requirement of communicators, and adhere to the principle of obvious differences. And detailed analysis of the ideological and political education activities of the educatees and the general audience in the communication activity of similarities and differences, thought that the characteristics of both have in common. But the educatees in ideological and political education activities and communication activity of the audience is in commonly have an attitude of receiving information, both thought development process is also different. Finally the audience theory classifies the basic ideas, divided into subjective point of view of audience and the audience’s feedback and productive. The first part mainly after the article provides a framework.Second part under the communication audience theory Angle of view to examine the problem of the college students’ ideological and political education activities, first pointed out that the lack of college students’ subjectivity, not only the existence of ideological and political educators to ignore the subjectivity of college students, also including the dislocation of object of ideological and political education main body consciousness. At the same time, demand for college students’ cognitive bias is also the important problems of the ideological and political education, including the needs of The Times for college students cognitive deficiency, lack of individuality demand for college students cognitive and demands for college students lack the hierarchy of cognitive, developmental cognitive is not enough demand for college students, the diversity of the college students’ demand of cognitive deficiencies. Finally, a weak feedback also has interference on the ideological and political education activities, the expression for the ideological and political education in colleges and universities present one-way linear model, the ideological and political education of college students’ information feedback characteristics aggravated the difficulty of the feedback, etc.The third part mainly studies the in communication audience theory guidance, improve the effect of ideological and political education of specific strategies: first, respect students’ subjectivity, requires both educators respect students’ subjectivity, also calls for college students to strengthen the construction of their own subjectivity. At the same time, meet the demand of college students’ time, the hierarchy of needs, and meet the demand of college students.
