Central Government issued Implementation Opinions on the Reform of Deepening the System of University Entrance Examination from State Council in September 2014 which required that every student should choose 3 subjects as examination subjects from 7 or 6 subjects.However, different subjects choose means that students have different major and career in future. Therefore, it becomes an emergency to make students make correct choose in general high school.The researcher suggests that offering career planning curriculum in general high school is the best way to solve this problem.This paper consists of status, problems, reasons and suggestions of the offering of career planning curriculum in general high school in our country under the new university entrance examination policy besides introduction of the paper. The researcher makes a deep analysis on the status of offering of career planning curriculum in Zhejiang’s and Shanghai’s general high schools,then finds out existing problems, profoundly analyzes the reason of existing problems and makes recommendations to make a reference for perfecting the offering of career planning curriculum in high schools in our country.The first part contains two small parts. Firstly,the researcher finds out most of high schools offered the career planning course and offered it by variety of ways through analyzing the status of the offering of career planning curriculum in our general high schools under the new university entrance examination policy. Secondly, the researcher studies out that the offering of career planning curriculum is characteristics of offering it through obligatory way more than selective way,differences of the form of curriculum in schools, trending to school-based curriculum and resources socialization and the contents of curriculum stressing coherence and key points after analyzing the implementation status.The researcher tries to finds out the existing problems through studying the existing information in the second part. The researcher finds out although the high schools have made great achievements in offering career curriculum,there are some problems in the curriculum offering such as lower curriculum level as a whole, imbalance implementation between schools and lack of professional teachers which restricts sustained and healthy development of the career planning in our general high school.In the third part, the researcher analyzes the reason of its exiting problems. The researcher studies out that the status of separating of general high school from vocational high school and the inequalities of social status between two kinds of school are further reasons which lead to difficulties in the implementation of career planning curriculum in our general high school. Namely, the separating of general high school from vocational high school leads to difficulties in making use of and allocating teachers and other school resources effectively.In addition,the general education means good salary and social status. Then general education is far more popular than vocational education in our country.Finally, the researcher makes some suggestions according to the early studies and suggests that speed up establishing curriculum system to improve the level of the course, and strengthen regional coordination to narrow down difference between schools and between regions, and accelerate training the professional teachers to resolve the teacher shortage problems.
