The high school stage is a critical period of life choice,high school students are faced with life choices for further studies and employment,but high school students have weak self-awareness and planning capabilities and need guidance from career education.At the same time,faced with a series of issues such as subject selection and examination selection caused by the reform of the new college entrance examination,high school students need the guidance of career education even more.Based on this,this study investigated the current situation of career education in ordinary senior high schools under the background of the new college entrance examination,which is of great significance to promote the good development of students,improve career education,and promote the reform of the new college entrance examination.This study took students and teachers from two ordinary high schools in Shandong Province as the survey objects,collected 484 valid student questionnaires using questionnaire surveys,and interviewed 7 students and 4 career education teachers to understand students' perceptions of career education in ordinary high schools,the practical process and practical effects of current career education.The study found that there are some problems in the current situation of general high school career education under the background of the new college entrance examination.Firstly,the practice process of career education is unreasonable,which is manifested in the unscientific goal of career education,strong utilitarian and weak life quality;the content of career education is not systematic,there are many content related to the reform of the new college entrance examination and the content of job search and life counseling is less;the implementation of career education is not perfect,professional teachers and subject teachers are not fully utilized;the implementation of career education is not perfect,and there are few activities such as specialized courses and off-campus practice;the career education evaluation is deficient,the evaluation frequency is low and the evaluation subject is single.Secondly,the effect of career education practice is not balanced,which is reflected in the overall development of high school students' career maturity;the imbalanced career maturity of senior high school students under demographic background involves gender,grade,academic performance,subject combination,family annual income and parents' educational level.In response to the above problems,corresponding solutions are proposed.Firstly,the system of career education should be improved and the practice process of career education should be standardized.Specifically,it is to change thinking and establish a framework of career education goals to improve the scientific nature of career education goals;develop career education guidelines to enhance the systemic content of career education;strengthen the training of full-time and part-time teachers,strengthen the strength of career education teachers;broaden the implementation path of career education and enhance the diversity of implementation path;improve the evaluation mechanism of career education,and implement the evaluation link in practice.Secondly,measures should be taken to improve the practical effect of career education.Specifically,it emphasizes the development of lower dimensions such as career decision-making attitudes and weakens the influence of demographic factors on the career maturity of senior high school students.
