Learning motivation is a kind of dynamic tendency to cause and maintain students’ learning behavior, and to make it point to a certain academic goal. It play an important role in the learning process of the learners. Although there are a lot of researches on learning motivation at home and abroad, but the research subjects are mainly focused on the study of middle school students and students in ordinary institutions of higher learning. With the rapid development of knowledge economy in the world today, the globalization of knowledge has no longer been a secret. Meanwhile, MOOC as a rapid development of science and technology, both representative of new and special form of education, for the students, their learning motivation must have special group of their own. And a MOOC large-scale enrollment and high abandoned class rate can be explained it. Just MOOC learners learning motivation current situation and improvement is a problem worthy of discussion, so the author decided to put efforts in MOOC in learners learning motivation status and improvement strategy for their graduation thesis.Due to the study of MOOC learners’ learning motivation is a new field of research, the research results are scarce. In this paper, the author studies from five chapters. The first chapter is the basic research background of this study and the literature review about MOOC learning motivation. In the second chapter, the learning motivation of the learners in MOOC is analyzed, and the current situation is analyzed in the former, middle and late period of the study. The third chapter analyzes the factors that influence the learning motivation of MOOC learners from the current situation and characteristics of learners. In the fourth chapter, the corresponding strategies are put forward based on the influencing factors. The fifth chapter is a summary of the problem and the solution to the problem of MOOC in the learning motivation of the individual’s outlook.
