With the rapid development of information technology and the acceleration of knowledge updating, there is a trend in lifelong education and knowledge globalization throughout the world. Having access to information more and more easily, easy available of educational resources, and increasingly varied learning styles, gives great convenience to the learning of college students. The emergence of MOOC has made it possible to offer free and fine educational resources to learners from all over the world, which has brought out great changes in online education. From the class of Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, more and more people participate in learning of MOOC, especially college students. Thus it is significant to explore how to use MOOC to assist college students’ learning. In the light of the above, the research is exploring how to use MOOC efficiently to assist college students’ learning and support their growth and development.The research first review overseas and domestic related literature of MOOC and analyze the features of MOOC. On the basis of that, the author selects two excellent study cases to analyze: Huang Xing from Nanjing University and a white-collar Wang Zhen from Beijing. Through case study the author summaries four key MOOC learning strategies which assist learning success, they are cognitive strategy, metacognitive strategy, affective strategy and motor skills strategy. Referring to cases study and learning features of college students, the research analyzes learning process of college students with the help of MOOC and its learning strategies. Then two rounds activities are implemented. In the first round activities, the learners use MOOC to study without teaching intervention. Learners need to make a summary of their learning to record MOOC learning activities and analyze learning results of MOOC. In the second round, learners develop MOOC learning activities under the guide of MOOC learning strategies and write learning summaries. Lastly the research compares and analyzes the results based on observing and interviewing learners in MOOC learning activities to verify effectiveness of learning strategies and rationality of learning process.This thesis includes six parts: Chapter 1 Introduction part, elaborate background,objectives, significance, contents and methods of the research. Chapter 2 Review related research status both in overseas and domestic, and analyze the features of MOOC, overview theoretical bases of college students study assisted by MOOC, which are connectivism learning theory, self-assess learning theory and activity theory. Chapter 3 Analyze factors of learning strategies, conclude key learning strategies of MOOC through case study. Chapter 4 Based on above research, combining learning features of college, analyze college students’ learning process with the help of MOOC learning strategies. Chapter 5 According to learning strategies and college students’ process with the help of MOOC, implementing two round activities of MOOC learning to analyze learning results. Chapter 6 State research findings and prospects.
