This paper mainly studies the influencing factors of experiential English teaching in primary schools and its influence. With the development of the times, many researchers have had a lot discussion about experiential English teaching all over the world, including China. They mainly focused on the theoretical background, teaching characteristics, teaching mode and teaching methods, etc, but there are few studies on influencing factors of experiential English teaching in primary school. As the experiential English teaching mode has been applied in primary school, it’s vital to clarify the influencing factors of the English experiential teaching and construct the effective mechanism of experiential English teaching with the requirements of new curriculum reform. The results of this paper have implications for the implementation mechanism of experiential English teaching, which is helpful to have a deep understanding and take active actions for English teachers in primary school. At the same time, questionnaires designed in this study can provide references for domestic related researches.Based on experiential learning theory and the task-based teaching method, this paper specifically studies the following two questions: first, what are the influencing factors of implementation of experiential English teaching in primary schools? Second, what is the degree of influence among various factors? The experimental subjects are 150 English teachers in five primary schools in Ping Jiang County. The author constructs a prediction questionnaire including the following six aspects: teachers’ basic literacy, teachers’ experiential cognition, teachers’ beliefs a nd attitudes, students’ literacy, environmental factors and supplementary factors, which are found to have a certain influence on Experiential English teaching by means of exploratory factor analysis and item analysis. The formal questionnaire finds the professional qualifications and teaching experience of the teachers have significant influence on experiential English teaching by means of variance analysis and T-test. Among the six factors, the results find that students’ literacy, teachers’ basic literacy and environmental factors belong to the strong influencing factors, teachers’ beliefs and attitudes and teachers’ experiential cognition to general influencing factors, and supplementary factors to weak influencing factors by using correlation analysis.The results of this study will help us to have a better understanding of experiential English teaching and provide guidelines for our primary English teachers, but still there are some deficiencies which need to be improved, such as the selection of influencing factors, the design of the questionnaires, the selection of samples and data collection and analysis, Experiential English Teaching should be promoted as a teaching method. Deep reasons of influencing factors in the questionnaire still need to be further studied, such as the influential mechanism of factors for different influencing degree, which will better promote English teaching.
