With the popularization and development of volleyball, volleyball participation in the field of population to grow more and more. From the history of volleyball technology and tactics of development, volleyball can be said that with each passing day. But "overall Shazam" Volleyball is an eternal theme. Currently, the world volleyball teams are strengthening the power of change increases, lifting height, speed, based on the comprehensive development towards fast, changing direction. Based on the current development trend of volleyball, volleyball players have to make the body function in efforts to make progress; and the best way to strengthen the body function level is undoubtedly the physical training. Therefore, how to better enhance the physical fitness level of volleyball players, thus improving technical and tactical level and athletic ability of sports teams is an important task of the current volleyball workers.This article from the actual needs of University men’s volleyball team sports point of view, the use of modern methods of physical training athletes systematic physical training, to enhance the athlete to achieve a basic physical fitness, special physical quality and reduce sports injury purposes.This study literature, expert interviews, experiments, mathematical statistics and logical analysis and other research methods, through quota sampling, select Hunan Normal 20 volleyball athletes as subjects. Among them, 10 were in the experimental group, the control group of 10 people. While ensuring balanced conditions on the basis of the experimental group using functional training method, the control group using traditional methods of physical training, physical training were 10 weeks of the system. Through the use of Microsoft Excel 2003, SPSS17.0 statistical software, the experimental data before and after the experiment subjects were two statistics, comparison and analysis, and finally draw the following experimental results:(1) experimental group of functional training, core strength, increase the upper and lower extremities explosive power, speed, coordination and sensitivity and other special physical stamina bounce clear.(2) through traditional physical training in the control group, the core strength, upper and lower extremities explosive special fitness to improve significantly, and in the other special qualities is not obvious.(3) After the experiment, the experimental group to enhance the special physical fitness than the control group, indicating that functional training is more effective compared to traditional physical training in the College Men’s Volleyball Athletes, Special Physical Training.(4) After the experiment,The experimental group volleyball athletes on the FMS test scores mean score increased from 10.8 points to 14.7 points rise; while in Nan Linke large volleyball athletes on the FMS test out the average score from the original rose 11.1 points to 12.6 points. Experiment shows that physical training can improve physical coordination College volleyball athletes and symmetry; but functional training method is more effective.(5) functional training and physical training tradition has its inherent effectiveness. Compared to traditional physical training, functional training in improving players’ specialized physical fitness, reduce and prevent sports injuries on more prominent, more effectively provide the basis and guarantee for athletic competition athletes.
