With the further reform of the curriculum, we have put increasing importance on Chinese teaching. As an important part of Chinese teaching, the oral communicative teaching is bound to gain a great deal of attention. However, in actual teaching, the Chinese students’ oral English ability is not ideal. The social from all walks of life to the oral communication teaching values also cannot compare with writing and reading teaching. In today’s international changes, globalization increasingly close communication, most of the Chinese students’ oral communication level is a cause for concern.For this situation, this paper in the first part of the study of oral communication at home and abroad made a list; In the second part, first reviewed the history of oral communication teaching in China, and then analyses the objective of the oral communication teaching as well as the present situation of oral communication class in China; In the third part, the author introduces the national curriculum standard and the state curriculum standards, the United States set of Chinese textbook for more about oral communication parts of the layout, also became immortal American classroom case of oral communication. For the teaching of oral communication between the two countries, China and America are compared. Finally, according to the analysis results of oral communication teaching in China was summarized, and the lessons in oral communication teaching, put forward some Suggestions, for example, the requirements of curriculum standard in our country, perfecting the evaluation system and improve oral communication language teacher professional skills in oral communication teaching, change of Chinese oral communication class, etc.I hope to make contribution to the improvement of oral communication teaching in China.
