During the great Chinese civilization, music has always been regarded as a symbol of elegance and nobleness, and it brings people pleasure and happiness. As a result, music education could be able to inherit and develop along the course of history. Music education in the elementary school level is a vital part just like the foundation of the construction. It lays the foundation for the quality of music education, Represented by Confucius of Confucianism in Chinese music has influenced the development of music education in ancient.This article obtains from the Confucius’ thought of music education research, with "Ritual", "benevolence" and "harmonious" angle to interpret the musical thought of Confucius, Survey statistics Based on the Survey statistics and analysis of the main problems affecting the development of music education in primary schools in our country, and resolved by applying the musical thought of Confucius. This article consists of introduction, five chapters and conclusions. Introduction mainly revolved around content, including propose of question 、 research summary 、propose and significance of the research、 ideas and methods、 innovations of study and conclusion. Chapter 1 and chapter 2 through the use of literature research, discusses the formation and development of Confucius ’ music education ideas. Chapter 3 through the use of literature research carding the contemporary primary school music education development and actuality. Chapter 4 use the questionnaire survey exploring primary school music education, through interpretation problems of teachers, teaching materials and skills. The chapter 5 is analysis of season, and specifically for the different problems use of Confucius ’ music education thought to solve the problem. The last part is the summary of the whole article.
