With the rapid development of times, the ability of innovation has become the key factor of today’s competition and times require fostering creative talents. At the same time, cultivating innovative talents needs them to explore and experiment in the process of teaching. Inquiry teaching and mathematics experiment have always been the focus researches of mathematics educators. Under such a background, this paper will combine inquiry teaching with mathematics experiment, analysis and research the application of using mathematics experiment with mathematics inquiry in high school teaching, which will be a new attempt in the teaching of mathematics.This study mainly uses the methods of literature research, questionnaire survey and case study to explore the relationship between inquiry teaching and mathematics experiments, investigate application status of mathematics experiment in high school mathematics inquiry teaching, analyses their starting point, principles and ways of pathway, and the preliminary conclusions are as follows:The Mathematical experiment is essentially a kind of mathematical activities focusing on exploratory, and its usually manifestations are hands-on experiments,thinking of experiment and computer simulation. And the essence of mathematics inquiry teaching in high school is the teaching method based on exploration.The relationship between inquiry teaching and mathematics experiment is interdependent with each other, and their relationship is described that: mathematical inquiry teaching provides a platform for mathematics experiment, mathematical experiment is an important way of mathematical inquiry teaching and it is an important way of mathematical inquiry.Through the questionnaire of some teachers and students, the present situations of mathematics experiment using in high school mathematics inquiry teaching is understood, which provides the practical basis for the following research.The application of mathematics experiment in mathematics inquiry teaching can choose following points:the formation of exploring mathematical concepts,representation the process of discovering theorem, verification of mathematical laws,explore mathematical properties etc..s.The application of mathematics experiment in mathematics inquiry teaching meets following principles: definition and practicability, strengthen the characteristic, focus on students, appropriateness and applicability.Mathematics experiment in high school mathematics inquiry teaching which conducts in the following ways: mathematical experiment using in creating situation of exploring teaching, promoting exploring activities, expanding application and so on.On the basis of the above research, this paper chose two contents of the high school mathematics teaching material, and design two cases of mathematics experiment applied to inquiry teaching in high school mathematics.In the end, this paper makes a reflection on the problems and deficiencies in this study, in order to facilitate the follow-up study as well as the peer criticism and correct.
