Currently our country is under the situation with larger educational demand but less educational resources, so class teaching system is adopted in large scale in actual teaching and education, united teaching process bringing various drawback of uniform teaching, and differentiated teaching is proposed based on such teaching status. The basic philosophy of differentiated teaching is "acknowledging difference, respecting difference, advocating differentiated teaching from difference for difference development," such teaching philosophy has turned into a kind of teaching mode, well known by a wide range of educators over multiple years’research. In order to better implement philosophy of differentiated teaching and quantitatively describe studying of students and differentiation of various strategies adopted in teaching process, this paper introduces solo classification theory evaluation method proposed by Biggs who is an Australian psychological educational expert based on theory of developmental stage, researching the following contentrHow to quantitatively describe studying of students based on solo classification theory.(1) How to quantitatively describe studying of students based on solo classification theory.(2) How to embody differentiated design in every stage of teaching design based on solo classification theory.(3) How to implement differentiated teaching design in class teaching implementation process to realize differentiated development of students.(4) How to quantitatively evaluate actual teaching effect and feed back to students based on solo classification theory.This paper researches complete process of differentiated teaching conducted based on solo classification theory, and deeply researches three major subject links of teaching activities including proceeding of teaching design, implementation of teaching activities and evaluation of teaching effect. It provides teachers with referential advices in teaching process and takes application of differentiated teaching in junior middle school cosmetically education as an example, to provide complete case demonstration, examine research results to some extent and facilitate understanding for readers.
