In the 21 st century,it requires teachers to pay attention to cultivate the students’ learning ability under the concept of lifelong learning,and teachers are eager to get out of the dilemma of “do but no benefit for themselves ” while the effective teaching puts forward requirements on teachers’ teaching. To determine the research content of this article of "excessive" teaching by starting from the three background, using the literature method to collect data, understanding the research status home and abroad on teaching of excessive, clearing the theoretical significance and practical significance of excessive teaching.It is found that the phenomenon of excessive teaching is obvious in junior middle school, so the paper study the phenomenon of excessive teaching in junior high school students.The first chapter of this paper is the introduction, mainly includes the research background, research situation home and abroad, research methods and significance.The second chapter is the definition of relevant concept and theory of the correction excessive teaching foundation.This chapter divided into two parts, the first part is the definition of relevant concept and clear that teaching of "excessive" means in the teaching process, students rely solely on the form of teacher repeated explanation, passively waiting for the teacher’s instructions and access to knowledge by the ways of rote learning, workbook, mechanical training, etc., only in order to improve the students’ grades and graduation rates. The second part is the theoretical basis of correct excessive teaching, including: teaching theory of pathology, Understanding education theory, effective teaching theory, non-directive teaching theory and proper education concept.The third chapter presents the negative effects of excessive teaching, mainly includes three aspects: the negative impact of excessive teaching people an, school teaching and the family education.The fourth chapter present situation and cause by using literature method, questionnaire method, interview method, case analysis and widely collecting data to analyze that clearly understand the present situation of excessive teaching. And it analyze the cause of excessive teaching include: social standard test pressure of higher education purpose, the pressure of examination, teachers’ professional development level is not high, parents expect too much, the students’ subject consciousness is not strong.The fifth chapter present the measure from "excessive" to "moderate" teaching, this part put forward the measure to correct excessive teaching on the basis of the data and the reason analysis in chapter four and come true "excessive" to "moderate" that include the messure of holding the spirit of deepening the reform of education, promoting students all-round development, Following the rules of teaching, carry out the scientific principles of teaching, reasonable arrangement of teaching time, try zero job teaching, flexible use of information technology, the teaching methods to keep pace with The Times.
