Nowadays, teacher exchange policy has become an important measure in balancing the development of national education and promoting education justice. Empirical researches have been made on teacher exchange in many places except ethnic minority areas, especially Guangxi.In order to explore the present situation of teacher exchange in ethnic minority areas, I will take Liuzhou City as an example. Qualitative research method is applied. Through living in the city, I’ve made a field research and deep inquiry to its present situation of teacher exchange. This essay is based on interviews with city exchange teachers, related officers in Education Administration, principal of exchange school. Physical data, such as photographs, work summary of exchange school and teachers are also collected. This essay analyzes these materials, then pick up four exchange teachers for case study and further portrait. By reconstructing their exchange stories, pictures of exchange teachers in frontline have been drawn, which provides an evidence for concluding and analyzing the present situation of teacher exchange. Some suggestions and solutions have been given based on a deep and objective analyse of the present situation of teacher exchange in Liuzhou city.First, this essay gives an introduction to the background, goal and meaning of this subject. The second chapter interprets the core concepts, and reviews the current research at home and abroad. The third chapter takes Liuzhou as an example to analyze the current status of exchange teachers in primary and secondary school in ethnic minority areas, and four teachers’experience are analyzed in narrative,but find still there are many problems to be resolved such as teachers are not willing to communication, teacher exchange become a mere formality. The fourth chapter expounds the problems and reasons existing among exchange teachers in primary and secondary in ethnic minority areas. The fifth chapter puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to perfect exchange of the primary and secondary school teachers in ethnic minority areas.And I offer some advice from different aspects for example strengthen policy guidance, improve communication consciousness, set up the safeguard and the incentive mechanism, etc, this thesis presents in the hope of a better solution to the current teacher exchange problems. The sixth chapter is mainly about researcher self-examination.
