In the process of rapid economic development and deepening of reform, market competition will be more brutal, more intense competition for resources in Colleges and universities. Under the background of the current social and economic development, opportunities and challenges, Opportunities and challenges,hope and difficulty coexist in the same, the allocation of resources and strategic positioning is poor and so on are the general characteristics of the development of private colleges and universities. With the development of Pan-Beibu Bay Economic Area, the upgrading of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and the implementation of Maritime Silk Road, Guangxi University of Foreign Language as the most of domestic private colleges and universities, useres in the good opportunities for development and faces many challenges at the same time. It not only faces external environmental threats, but also exposes internal management problems. Therefore, researching on the development strategy of Guangxi University of Foreign Language and seeking the principal period of development and expansion of the way, seeking unshaken method for the school based on social and economic development, providing a reference for the school development strategy, guiding the school of health and benign development, not only are the focus of experts and scholars, but also are the future worthy of study an important subject.To seek suitable method for the school development strategy and guarantee measures,this paper, with the aid of various analysis method to study the national economic development strategy, the current situation of the development of private colleges and universities, internal and external environment factors and geo economic development status, and analysis the strategic choice for the school, development orientation, strategic measures and safeguard measures. Analysis the internal environment of the school is elucidated on the basis of the present situation of the development of Guangxi University of Foreign Language, this paper analyzes the macro environment of the school basing on the PEST analysis method; analyzes the industry competition environment of the school basing on the five forces model; analyzes the school internal environment by the talent training etc.; analyzes comprehensively the school’s development strategy basing on SWOT analysis, selecting growth strategy and poor dissimilation strategy respectively as the school’s development strategy and competition strategy; analyzes the corresponding security measures of the development strategy of the school by the aspects of management mechanism, talent mechanism, international mechanism and teaching quality.On the basis of comprehensive analysis of economic development, government policy of private colleges and universities and the development trend of factors, the method based on the development strategies of enterprise strategic management of Guangxi University of Foreign Language in this paper, is of great significance for similar private colleges development strategy research and development, and with reference value for similar research subjects.
