High school is the key period for the formation of students’ moral character and personality, also ideological and political courses carry out the ideological and political education to the students, to help them cultivate sentiments, perfect personality and learn to be a moral person. The ideological and political teachers have the duty to help students to develop a correct concept of values and outlook on the world, which presents a high demand on their personal charisma. What is more, their personal charisma not only directly affect the enthusiasm of students to participate in teaching, but also have a great impact on the overall development of students’ physical and mental health. In the process of practical teaching, teachers should pay attention to the development of their own personal charisma, give full play to the role of personality guidance, strengthen the communication between teachers and students, and create a good environment for the ideological education of students. With the advance and development of the times, ideological and political teachers’ personality charm should be continuously improved and perfected, which can have a lasting and far-reaching impact on the students. Teachers who have the personality charm are not only teachers to impart knowledge, but also to teach students how to behave. Therefore, the study on the personality charm of ideological and political teachers and its value of education is of great significance to the development of education.This paper obtained from the characterization of ideological and political teachers’ personality charm, through the survey of relevant literature, summarized relevant research results at home and abroad, and gave a brief overview of the connotation and the concrete representation of their personality charm according to the characteristics of the ideological and political teachers and course. On this basis, it discussed the demonstration significance of teachers’ personality charm to students’ morality, wisdom, beauty, and practice. We proposed effective strategies for teachers’ improvement of personality charm from morality, soul, love, functions and sentiment. The results enriched the theoretical research on the personality charm of ideological and political teachers in the background of new curriculum, and provided a new perspective for the study of the development of the ideological and political teachers.
