Ideological and political teaching in senior high school is related to Ideological and Moral teaching in junior middle school. But the teaching content of senior high school and the degree of students’ physical and mental development have changed. so Ideological and political teaching in senior high school has its uniqueness. Ideological and political teaching in senior high school is based on the marxism-leninism, the mao zedong thought, the deng xiaoping theory and "three represents". The educational content including material civilization, spiritual civilization, political civilization of the socialist. The purpose is to guide students to feel the political, economic and cultural life and to grasp the basic methods and views of Marxism in studying and practicing, which is benifit to carry forward the national spirit, to develop international vision, to set up the common ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and to form the correct world outlook and methodology. This reflects the effectiveness of Ideological and political teaching in senior high school, but the actual effect is not up to standard. The paper analysises the current teaching situation by looking up the literature review and doing questionnaire survey. In order to find problems, and put forward effective measures to improve the the effectiveness.Positive psychology is the emerging research orientation of psychology,which is the product of traditional psychology. It changes the problem that traditional psychology biases toward treating psychological problems, on the contrary,to focusing on the positive potential of people. It mainly studys how the positive emotional experience, positive personality and actively organized system influences human potential development. What is more,it advocates the exploration of human virtues, and in person’s potential the view of appreciation and open motivation considers. The proposition of positive psychology as well as its achievements in the field of educational practice have a lot in common with the new round curriculum reform which advocating the teachers respect students, pay attention to stimulating students’ enthusiasm and initiative, focus on students’ potential and establish a harmonious relationship between teachers and students. They are available for this research paper. The article analyzes carefully the feasibility and necessity of Ideological and political teaching in senior high school learning positive psychology. And according to the investigation, we analyse the reason based on positive psychology.On this basis, we discuss the strategies in the last part of this paper, mainly focusing on three aspects: first, using the theory of positive emotion experience inspires students’ interesting in Ideological and political teaching in senior high school. Second, utilizing the theory of positive personality traits realizes the "three dimensional goal" of Ideological and political teaching in senior high school. Third, using the theory of positive organized makes students accept the requirement of Ideological and political teaching in senior high school in the osmosis. Strategy, supplemented by teaching examples, make it detailed and useful as far as possible.
