| Purpose and meaning:To explore the forgiveness status and its related factor of medical students and the correlation with the variable of mental health, and provide an evidence to improve the forgiveness and the mental health.Objection:720 medical students of 3 medical university were randomly selected as the research sample; select 10 postgraduates medical students to conduct qualitative study.Method:Exploring the students by questionnaires including Self-made questionnaireã€the Transgression Related Interpersonal Motivations Scale 12 Item Formã€Interpersonal Reactivity Index-Cã€State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory-2ã€50-Item Set of IPIP Big-Five Factor Markersã€2 ingredient of Self-reporting Inventory:depression and anxiety. Positive emotion and Negative emotion of Multiple Happiness Questionnaireã€Heartland Forgiveness Scaleã€Proclivity to Apologize Measure; Selected 10 medical students to the interview, and organized their understanding of forgiveness and the influencing factor of forgiveness.Results:(1) Interpersonal forgiveness level of medical students is 18.40±11.54,a little higher than that of ordinary college students, medical students’ interpersonal forgiveness level have no statistically significant in grade and specialty (P>0.05), some factors of empathyã€angerã€personality related to interpersonal forgiveness significantly(P<0.05), and interpersonal forgiveness of medical students was significantly related to anxietyã€depressed and happiness (P<0.05).and the severity of injuryã€relation, opologizeã€timeã€deliberately also affect interpersonal forgiveness. (2) Self-forgiveness level of medical students is 27.0±4.74, medical students’ self-forgiveness level have no statistically significant in grade and specialty (P>0.05), some factors of guiltã€angerã€personality related to self-forgiveness significantly (P<0.05), and self-forgiveness of medical students was significantly related to anxietyã€depressed and happiness (P<0.05).and the relation〠attributional styleã€guiltã€whether the other party to forgive yourself also affect the self-forgiveness. (3) forgiveness-seeking level of medical students is 21.36±8.97, medical students’ forgiveness-seeking level have no statistically significant in grade and specialty (P>0.05), some factors of empathyã€angerã€personality related to forgiveness-seeking significantly (P<0.05), and forgiveness-seeking of medical students was significantly related to anxietyã€depressed and happiness (P< 0.05).and the self-esteemã€persuadeã€anticipation also affect the forgiveness-seeking.Conclusions (1) Empathyã€angerã€personality of medical students have different effects on interpersonal forgiveness, their interpersonal forgiveness level also affects their mental health and well-being; (2)Their level of self-forgiveness have no significant difference in different grades and majors. Guiltã€anger〠personality of medical students have different effects on self-forgiveness, their self-forgiveness level also affects their mental health and well-being; (3) Their level of forgiveness-seeking have no significant difference in different grades and majors. Empathyã€angerã€personality of medical students have different effects on forgiveness-seeking, their forgiveness-seeking level also affects their mental health and well-being. |
