East Sichuan Normal School Research

East Sichuan is located in the eastern of Sichuan Basin.There are a lot of mountains in here.Especially, the terrain is more complex, which makes productive forces relatively backward in this region.Compared with relatively wealthy Chengdu—Land of Abundance, the region is especially poor and occlusive.Education is an important element to make economy rapid development.In turn,the development of economy can determine the degree of education. Before Sichuan province was unified,there are more wars in Sichuan area every year. And the people are destitute.The civil war makes the poor east Sichuan become adding insult to injury.Education development is very difficult. The development of education was not paid attention to,until Sichuan was unified and economy recovered.When fighting invading army all around broke out, with Shanghai, Nanjing and other cities falling into enemy’s hands,the Nationalist government moved to Chongqing to work, large numbers of refugees followed to Chongqing.Such a huge number of refugees swarmed into Chongqing, which includes a large number of school-age children, these children need education.However, limited schoolhouses can not carry a huge number of these children who moved to Chongqing.The National Government built many new schools in a hurry, but the scarcity of teachers can not be replenished quickly.So it is necessary to expand the cultivation of normal students. East Sichuan Normal School which is indigenous to Chongqing developed in its golden age in this period.In the opening of this pepper, the author discusses the origin and the change of East Sichuan Normal School, which explains the reason why Chongqing Normal School develops. The author analyzes it from the change of the number of normal school graduates and the number of schools about East Sichuan Normal School. In the third part of the pepper, this part focuses on the construction and development of East Sichuan Normal School. The author mainly analyzes the development of East Sichuan Normal School from enrollment, administrative organization and architectural-scale school equipment. In the last part of the pepper, the author analyzed and summarized the characteristics and contributions of East Sichuan Normal School.Generally speaking, during this period, in the background of Chongqing as the provisional capital. because of the war, many people moved to Chongqing,which contains a large number of school-age children.The Nationalist government always attached importance to the development of education in a period of Anti-Japanese war.With increasing demand for teachers, East Sichuan Normal School expanded development. But because the war became difficult, military training education in East Sichuan Normal School allows students go to front line to defend the country,and this special education form has important impact to Chongqing and even China.
