By means of literature research, this article discussed the chemistry knowledge of senior high school analyzed the content, characteristics as well as rules of each knowledge topic. Based on questionnaire, observation and interview, it emphatically analyzed the following issues by evaluating senior high students’learning results of 10 knowledge themes in chemistry course:(1)What is the cognitive difficulty of students in different knowledge topics?(2) What is the cognitive development of students in the same chemistry knowledge topic? The following conclusions are obtained by taking 292 senior students in grade three as research objects:(1)Chemistry knowledge includes 10 knowledge topics, including"Atomic Structure","Periodic Table", "Chemical Bonding","Redox Reaction", "Chemical Kinetics andChemical Equilibrium", "Chemical Thermodynamics", "Acid-Bases", "Organic Chemistry","Quantitative Chemistry", and "Theory of Chemistry Experiment"; each topic has its own content, regularity and characteristic.(2)Four sets of chemistry test papers are formed by the classification of 10 knowledge topics.(3)Among the learning outcome of ten theme knowledge, students’grasp of organic chemistry is insufficient while their performance in quantitative chemistry is satisfying.(4)As time goes on, cognitive characteristics of student during the review in senior high school grade three will present different variation rules due to the effect of various factors; however, it tend to be stable in fluctuation.
